Yes! Please wash out then reuse or recycle your glass jars, plastic lids and boxes.

Glass is the sensible choice. Glass is fully recyclable and can be recycled endlessly without loss in quality. It is also made from readily available raw materials: sand, soda ash, and limestone. We specifically chose amber glass bottles and jars because they offer better protection from light exposure, which can deteriorate and reduce the effectiveness of the product inside.

All of our supplements are certified vegan by the American Vegetarian Association. Our balms are cruelty-free certified, but since they contain organic beeswax, they’re vegetarian but not vegan.

All of our products are manufactured at FDA-registered, cGMP and USDA Organic certified facilities in the United States.

Each ingredient in our supplements, as well as the final products, goes through extensive testing to confirm identity, screen for microbial, irradiation and pesticide contamination, and for the presence of heavy metals. Because one of our core values is transparency, we are happy to provide the results of these screenings upon request.


DHA is an Omega-3 fatty acid that is a crucial building block for brain, eye, and nervous system development. Developing infants must obtain this vital nutrient through the placenta during pregnancy and from breast milk or formula after birth. The predominant dietary source of DHA is fatty fish, such as salmon, tuna, and anchovies. The World Health Organization recommends at least 200-300mg of DHA per day during pregnancy and lactation. 

Why vegan DHA?

Fish are high in DHA because they eat microalgae. Since we source our Vegan DHA exclusively from fermented microalgae, we're able to avoid disrupting ocean life.

Vitamin D supports healthy bone development and prevents rickets, a condition that causes weak or deformed bones.

Although vitamin D is formed naturally when skin is exposed to sunlight, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) discourages exposure to direct sunlight for babies under the age of 6 months and recommends practicing safe sun care with older babies and children, such as using sunscreen and wearing protective clothing. This limited exposure to direct sunlight, along with other factors, can lead to an increased risk of vitamin D deficiency.

Since breast milk does not provide adequate amounts of vitamin D, the AAP recommends giving breastfeed or partially breastfed babies 400IU of liquid vitamin D daily to help them avoid vitamin D deficiency. Please consult with your child's health care provider to determine the best plan to meet your child's needs.

We choose not to use fenugreek for several reasons:

1. Fenugreek is a legume plant. Parents and children with peanut or other legume allergies cannot safely use fenugreek.

2. It can cause gastrointestinal distress, such as gassiness or diarrhea, even for those parents and nursing babies who are not allergic to it. 

3. Many people are averse to the smell of fenugreek and its potential to make the sweat, urine, and breast milk of those who take it smell like maple syrup.

All of our supplements were formulated to be safely taken together, but you should always consult your doctor before use, especially if you have a medical condition or take medications or other supplements.

We intentionally formulate our products without artificial fragrances, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), parabens, or synthetic preservatives because it’s better for you and the environment.

Yes! All of our body care products are Leaping Bunny certified.

Lanolin is sourced from sheep’s wool. Sheep are often sprayed or dipped directly with pesticides and other chemicals. Lanolin goes through a refinement process, but the chemicals are often still present in small amounts. We choose to avoid lanolin for this reason.

Orders shipped via Standard Shipping arrive in 6-12 business days from the time the order was placed; Express Shipping arrives in 3-4 business days; Priority Shipping arrives in 1-3 business days. Please note that orders placed after 12 noon Pacific time on Friday will not ship until the following business day. We use USPS and FedEx for shipments.

Returns and Exchanges

We've designed each Sensible product with you in mind, to help you feel your best while navigating your journey through motherhood and beyond. If our product doesn't meet your expectations, please send an email to within 30 days of placing your order.

All products must be returned in unused condition in their original packaging within 30 days of receiving the order.
